KEEP MOVING FOWARD

Where to start right? Well, I'll just tell you what I tell everyone... I moved to Boulder, CO in Nov. of 2020 from Kansas City, MO. I didn't know a single soul out here and really wanted to test myself and see how well I can adapt and survive in a new city. And guess what? I didn't have a camera or even care about photography. Didn't see that coming did you? Well, I kinda lied about the camera thing; I did have a little Canon Rebel SL2 that I bought a few years back, but didn't think much of it...Until I wanted to take better photos of all the mountains and landscapes I have at my fingertips here in Boulder, that is.

I should also mention I have been editing photos and video for a little over 20 years in my free time, because I love graphic design and photomanipulation and always have. I've even gone so far as to create an e-book and a Photoshop video tutorial series! Neither of which sold a single copy.

Oof... We've come a long way haven't we? I've been at this for a while, but I've decided it's finally time to really lean into that side of my brain and see what happens...

...wish me luck!

So what happened?

I started taking photos of anything and everything. Trying to figure out exposure, composition, focus, lenses... blah, blah, blah... But loving every second of it! I soon outgrew my little $500 DSLR and upgraded to a Canon RP. Well, this lasted just about 30 days before I figured out the limits of that camera and wanted more and upgraded right away to a Sony a7iii. That camera has a special place in my heart now and I've since upgraded to the Sony a1, but will never forget the camera that brought me so much experience and joy.

And as they say, the rest is history. And I have been exploring as many facets of photography as I possibly can. I travel the world learning from way better photographers than me and try to explore as many styles in my photography to be the best and most well-rounded photographer I can be.

Reach out and let's see what we can create!
