THE JOURNEY
There's a black sand beach in Bali I keep coming back to. Soft as powder dry, like paint once the water hits it. We hike in past a bat cave to a private stretch, and then I just hand you over to the sand. No posing, no performing. You make your marks, you get messy on purpose, and somewhere in the play you stop watching yourself and start feeling something. That's the moment I catch. You walk away with art, and feeling a little more like yourself.
